Team Simon Konover Reaches $115,000 and Growing

The Simon Konover Company (TSKC) and its Team Simon Konover have raised over $115,000 in the Camp Challenge Ride & Bandit 5K campaign to benefit The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp located in Ashford, Connecticut. The Camp Challenge Ride & Bandit 5K is an annual charity cycling and walking event, which will take place Saturday September 7, 2013.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is celebrating its 25th year and in honor of this, Team Simon Konover set a goal of sending 25 children to camp. With a cost of $2,500 for one child to attend camp for a week, Team Simon Konover reached out to its partners, associates and friends to join the campaign.

"With the generous support of our strategic partners, colleagues, associates, and friends, the 2013 campaign is on track to be our most successful ever,” said James Wakim, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Simon Konover Company. “Donations continue to come in and Team Simon Konover is poised to double our goal.”

Team Simon Konover is comprised of company employees and business associates who support and participate in the Camp Challenge Ride. Over 125 organizations and individuals donated to the 2013 fundraising campaign. The total results of this fundraising campaign will be available in the coming weeks.

Team Simon Konover Strategic Partners, donating $5,000 or more, include Ameriscape, LLC, Cohn Reznick, Connecticut Apartment Association, Haynes Construction Company, KBE Building Corporation, Outlook Development Group, LLC, Servpro of New Haven, Shipman & Goodwin LLP, and Smith Brothers Insurance, Inc.

The Simon Konover Company’s involvement with The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp began in 1987 when Simon Konover donated the construction management services as he constructed the original Camp facilities. Since that time, The Simon Konover Company, as well as the Konover and Coppa families, have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the Camp as an active sponsor of the Camp’s Annual Fandango Benefit Gala, the Space & Aviation Day, as well as the Camp Challenge Ride. In addition, Jane Konover Coppa is a member of the Camp’s Board of Advisors.
